We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our team working on Android and Google device testing. The successful candidate will help test software on Android and Google phones and devices, file detailed bug reports, triage issues, analyze logs, and identify optimizations and improvements needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on Android builds and Google device system software
• Develop and execute test plans across various Android and Google phone models and device types
• Experience in Log Analysis
• File concise, well-documented bug reports detailing reproduction steps, expected behavior vs observations, logs, etc.
• Prioritize and triage bugs, routing to appropriate teams for resolution
• Set up and maintain test devices and phone/tablet farms representing key Android OS versions and Google hardware
• Analyze system logs to identify crash signatures, performance bottlenecks, or usage metrics
• Track bug status and verify fixes in future builds
• Identify areas for optimization in stability, performance, energy usage etc. and recommend enhancements.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years testing experience on Android, familiarity with Google device internals
• Proficiency in bug tracking tools and log analysis
• Understanding of mobile device constraints like battery, memory, connectivity
• Solid debugging skills for hardware, OS, firmware, and applications
• Automation skills using tools like Appium, Espresso, etc.
• Attention to detail and passion for quality
• Strong communication skills and analytical mindset
